Olympus has announced that its recently unveiled PEN E-PM1 micro four thirds camera will be shipped starting next month. Touted as “the world’s smallest camera” Olympus PEN, the PEN E-PM1 – also known as PEN Mini – features a 12.3-megapixel imager, a 14-42 mm f/3.5-5.6 kit lens, a simple user interface, a 3-inch LCD screen, 1080i HD video recording, shooting RAW, 23 “scene” modes, Select three shooting modes and a maximum sensitivity of ISO 12,800. The camera can also make use of interchangeable lenses.
This small camera is considered a step up regular point-and-shoot camera, since users can simply let the camera do the guesswork and still capture stunning shots.
