A U.S. district judge has enough of the back-and-forth accusations and legal maneuvers between Apple and Samsung that they their lawyers told to just settle the matter out of court.
“Can’t we all just get along here,” judge Lucy Koh asked. “I will provide you with a box of chocolates, whatever.”
Apple lawyer Harold McElhinny then revealed to the Court that “executives at the highest level” of both company are “in fact, meet and talk” about the issue. The lawyer has no effect of the details of the meeting.
It may be recalled that Apple a patent-infringement suit filed against Samsung back in April for the design of Apple’s products allegedly to copy in the Galaxy and Infuse devices. Samsung then hit back by claiming its own patents against Apple. The legal battle was more complex when Apple demanded to examine five Samsung devices, which what Samsung did the same to Apple for the iPhone and iPad 3 5. Judge Koh to deliver to its Samsung products has already ordered, but have yet to decide on whether Apple should do the same. Last week, Apple has more Samsung devices added to the list of alleged copycats.
Despite the vitriol going on between the two companies, buy Apple actually semiconductors to Samsung for the iPad and iPad 2 products. Imagine how much Apple and Samsung are going to lose after this case, which side would succeed.
